Hey, there blogger. What’s new? How’s your blogging growth coming? Have you been using Pinterest to grow your business?
I personally love Pinterest. It is such a valuable tool for growing an online business. When used right, Pinterest can increase your traffic and build an audience that knows and loves you. Here are six ways you can use Pinterest to help you grow your blog + biz.

1. Create images that work.
This week I was at a marketing conference, and Brad Spychalski from Pinterest was there. I had a chance to speak to him afterward and asked him what his number one Pinterest tip was. His answer: test images. Brad said that it is all about the Pin. A tiny percentage of people actually look at your whole profile or even the entire board so to really focus on your Pin image and find ones that convert.
2. Use Analytics to improve Pinterest marketing and blog content.
Analyze your Google Analytics to see what pins are performing the best for your site, what posts get the most action from Pinterest, what type of content Pinners like best, and what Pinners are doing when they get to your site.
3. Grow your email list via Pinterest
We all know that an email list is essential, but how do you get new subscribers? Pinterest. Pinners love “freebies” and the Pins that show them how to get ’em. Create stellar images to advertise your content upgrade significant results. Chrissa has had huge success with her Pins that lead to posts with email sign ups.
4. Make money from Pinterest
Fact: I had a single Pin generate 2,000+ dollars a month for a consecutive year. When that year started, I only had 4,000 Pinterest followers. You can make money from Pinterest. Sometimes, in big ways. The moolah can come directly from Pinterest via affiliate links or by optimizing your high traffic Pinterest posts for a bigger impact.
5. Get smart about SEO and Pinterest
How did I do #3 you ask? By using the right keywords in a human way. When you use the right words in your titles, descriptions, and image names, you’ll increase your chances of showing up in Pinterest search results.
6. Promote Pins for extra exposure
Take advantage of promoting pins while they are still relatively inexpensive and not very many other bloggers are doing it yet. That little extra boost can put your pins in the right place for the right people.
Level up your blog with Pinterest
If you are ready to get to work and implement these six tips then you’ll love the Simple Pin Workshops I’m participating in. Each of these strategies is broken down into video workshops + live Q&A and plenty of time to actually implement the things that you learn.
My favorite part of the Workshops is that they are current. Pinterest is a growing machine, and things are constantly changing. There are hundreds of Pinterest courses out there, but they get outdated quickly. The workshops are relevant for Pinterest right now and are taught by the net’s leading Pinterest experts.
What are the Simple Pin Pinterest workshops?
They are a series of six recorded teaching sessions covering these topics:
- Images that Convert + how to a/b test (taught by Tina Gammon)
- Understanding Google Analytics for Pinterest (taugh by me, Kristie Hill)
- Growing your Email list using Pinterest (Taught by Kate Alh)
- Monetization for Pinterest (Taught by Addi Ganley)
- SEO and Pinterest (Taught by Kim Herrington)
- Promoted Pins (Taught by Alisa Meredith)
The goal in hosting these workshops is to not only give knowledge, but action items and time to complete the action item(s). By the end of the workshops, you’ll walk away with a Pinterest marketing plan that will help your blog grow.
These workshops will be dripped out from April 11 – 27 on the Tuesday and Thursday of each week. After a session goes live, we will have a corresponding live Q&A time/office hours within the FB group the next day.
The workshops are only for sale now through April 10th at 11:59 pm. The cost of the workshop is $247 for those who purchase before April 6. After that, the price goes up to $297 through April 10 at 11:59 pm PST when the cart closes. The cost includes the workshops, workbook, live Q&A and office hours hosted by Kate Alh and the teacher of the workshop. Can’t wait to chat with you in my live Q&A all about how you can use Google Analytics to improve your Pinterest marketing and blogging content. (I am an affiliate for the workshops but I only recommend things I trust. This time it’s half because I’m one of the teachers and because I know that the other instructors are going to give you fabulous Pinterest insights)
